Call For Special Sessions
EPPC 2018 Special Session proposals are invited with a deadline date of May 31st 2017. Proposals are sought for both highly specialised and multi-/ inter-disciplinary topics covering any research, teaching, innovation or technological aspects of palaeobotany and/or palynology.
All Special Session Proposals should include the following using the downloadable word template:
- Names and affiliations of organisers (a maximum of 3 organisers per special session)
- A short 250 word (maximum) description of the special session
- An indication of whether the organisers aim to publish the special session in a special volume (name of proposed publishers)
- An agreement by the organisers to be merged with other similar special sessions at the request of the organisation committee if necessary for scheduling reasons.
Special session proposals will be competitively evaluated by the organisation committee. Where an obvious overlap occurs between submitted special session proposals they will be merged at the request of the EPPC 2018 organisation committee.
Special session proposals are encouraged to include at least one early stage researcher as part of the organisation group. Sessions that are co-organised by multiple institutions are also strongly encouraged. Sponsorship of special sessions is also encouraged.
All proposals should be emailed to EPPC2018@gmail.com by May 31st 2017 using the subject heading ‘Special Session Proposal’.
